Sumeya Yunis

Sumeya Yunis is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Practice Group. Her practice covers the full spectrum of corporate and commercial work, from transactional matters and corporate governance to regulatory compliance, commercial contracting, due diligence and restructuring. She has also lent her support to international arbitration proceedings and commercial disputes, with particular experience in disputes arising from corporate, shareholder, and investment relationships. Her combined exposure to both transactional and contentious matters enables her to provide commercially focused and practical legal solutions.

Sumeya was admitted to the Bar in 2025 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Durham and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

Outside of her legal practice, Sumeya has a keen interest in speciality coffee and enjoys curating coffee-centred experiences that bring people together.
