Wambui G Muigai is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Wambui specializes in (a) Commercial, Civil and Criminal litigation, (b) Alternative Dispute Resolution and (c) Tax.
In litigation, Wambui has experience in Constitutional Law and Judicial Review, Criminal Law, Competition Law, Intellectual Property Law, Banking and Finance Law, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, Employment and Labour Law, Defamation Law, Land and Environmental Law, Personal Injury and Insurance Law, Family Law and International Law.
In Alternative Dispute Resolution, Wambui is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) Kenya Branch and UK Branch. Wambui has experience both as Arbitrator and as Counsel for either of the disputing parties domestically, regionally and internationally. Wambui is also a certified Mediator and has experience both as a Mediator and as counsel for either of the disputing parties.
In Tax, Wambui has experience is reviewing of tax assessments and compliance, institution or defence of proceedings before the Tax Appeals Tribunal (TAT), and Appeals to the High Court on decisions of the TAT.
Wambui was admitted to the Bar in the year 2019. Wambui holds an LLB from the University of Kent, an LPC-LLM from the University of Law in Manchester and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
When she has the time, Wambui has a deep passion for writing – particularly poetry. In practicing law, her poetry is most evident in her written submissions – call it poetic justice – all puns are intended.
